Job reference: DR/001/17

Scientific research services in the DFG project "Compressed Sensing in Ptychography and Transmission Electron Microscopy." In particular the development, implementation and application of algorithms for near-field and far-field ptychography. Working on your own scientific qualification (doctoral degree).

Requirements

Completed university degree in physics or a related field. Experience in scientific programming with Matlab, Python and C/C++ or C/C++ and CUDA, in particular in the field of reconstruction algorithms for exitwaves from focal series or ptychographic data sets, or tomography. Experience in image simulation for transmission electron microscopy is an advantage. Good knowledge of spoken and written english is desired.

Scientific research services for the DFG project "Compressed Sensing in Ptychography and Transmission Electron Microscopy". In particular the set-up of near-field and far-field ptychography experiments on the TEM and the SEM. Contributions to the development and application of reconstruction algorithms.

Requirements

Completed university degree and doctoral degree in physics, mathematics, information technology, engineering, or a related field. Experience in operating a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM), a transmission electron microscope (TEM) or a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Of advantage is experience in: maintenance or modification of such machines (e.g. installation of apertures or detectors); the development of automated processes for STEMs, TEMs or SEMs through scripting; programming in Matlab, python, C/C++ or CUDA, especially reconstruction algorithms for exitwaves from focal series or ptychographic data sets, tomography or simulation of STEM and TEM images. Excellent spoken and written english is desired.
